Top radio presenter and host, Dan Foster, is dead.There has been an outpouring of emotions on social media, as friends and colleagues of the deceased confirmed the news and paid tributes to him.He worked in radio stations including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 both in America, and Virgin Island-based WTBN before moving to Nigeria in 2000 where he joined Cool FM, quickly becoming popular with Nigerian listeners.In September 2009, Foster left Cool FM for Inspiration FM but left in 2014 to join City FM.
In May 2016, he left City FM 105.1 for Classic FM 97.3 radio station where he worked before he passed on.
While the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed — as of the time this report was filed — immediate suspicion is that he died of COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus. People saw the wife at the isolation centre,yaba Lagos.
Quite a number of Nigerians, including celebrities, have taken to social media platforms to pay their last respect as words of the radio host’s death spread.
