The Senator who is popularly known as ‘Pepperito’ Osinowo died on Monday June 15, at 65 years-old. Until his death he was representing Lagos East Senatorial district.
Osinowo who was born on 28 June, 1955 was a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe constituency 1 since 2003.
He was however nominated by the party to contest the senatorial election for Lagos East in the 2019 election which he won, replacing Senator Gbenga Ashafa.
Until his death, he was the Senator representing Lagos East senatorial constituency at the National Assembly, and also serving as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Commerce, Industry and Investments.
Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Hon. Seye Oladejo confirmed the death to our correspondent.
The cause of his death is yet to be confirmed.
